I like the form of this photo, the way how the windows and brick are fairly organized and have a pattern while the fire escape seems to zig zag down the wall. The only part of it I find distracting is the bit of another building in the righthand corner. It doesn't really seem to fit the pattern and form of the main building.
I actually did not notice the building to the right until Matt pointed it out. For me it's not such a distraction, I like the negative space created with the sky. The pattern created by the building and the fire escape almost takes on an Escher-like quality.
Matt I agree with you that the building on the side is somewhat distracting but I did like the fact that made it look like an illusion or like Carolyn stated something like M.C. Escher would do. Thank you both for the feedback!
