I like the mood of this image. Is this film or digital? It has some amount of grain to it that makes me think its film. I might have preferred a greater tonal range, you have great gray scale and dark blacks but no areas that are pure white. But perhaps this isnt a bad thing because it adds to a sort of melancholy mood. I find it interesting that you chose to center yourself on a plain background, the only things you choose to include were your guitar and a hooded sweatshirt. I like the deep lighting from the side, and how the guitar comes close to breaking the frame of the image but doesnt. Nice job Cameron! Did you try creating other self portraits? any that were non-traditional or loosely interpreted self portraits?
